Dr. Suhardi Maulan is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Design and Architecture, Universiti Putra Malaysia. He received a Diploma in Landscape Design in 1992 from Universiti Teknologi MARA, and later in 1997, he was conferred a Bachelor in Landscape Architecture from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge, USA.
He obtained a Master of Landscape Architecture in 2002 and later a Doctor of Philosophy (Environmental Design and Planning) in 2006, both from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, USA.
Dr. Suhardi teaches subjects related to history and theory of design, landscape architecture as well as quantitative data analysis. His research interests include people’s interaction with the built environment to support sustainable development especially on visual quality assessment, behavioural analysis and post-occupancy evaluations.
